Health declaration implemented at control points

A spokesman for the Department of Health (DH) today (May 6) said all in-coming passengers arriving at the immigration control points at Man Kam To, Sha Tau Kok, Hung Hom Station, Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal, and Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal would be required to submit a completed Health Declaration Form starting tomorrow.

"The arrangements of health declaration by in-coming travellers were made at other boundary control points in phases between April 30 and May 5.

The implementation of health declaration is aimed at further reduce the risk of the spread of human swine influenza," the spokesman said.

"Declaration forms will be collected before travellers go through the immigration control points." he said.

"They are advised to complete the form before arriving at the arrival hall so that form collection and immigration clearance procedures can be smoothly conducted.

"This will help reduce congestion and will enable travellers to complete immigration procedures quickly," the spokesman said.
