Fees and Charges for Public Health Care Services provided by the Department of Health

LABORATORY SERVICES
Notes
(1) All requests for laboratory tests should be supported by information and documents as required by the Department of Health. Unless otherwise specified or agreed by Consultant Medical Microbiologists / Consultant Pathologists, all charges specified below are payable in advance or on demand.
(2) Consultant Medical Microbiologists / Consultant Pathologists may refuse any sample.
(3) Samples submitted for examination will remain the property of the Government and may be disposed of in any way considered suitable by Consultant Medical Microbiologists / Consultant Pathologists.
(4) The Government will not recognise any claims arising from the results of any examination.
(5) Fees for other special tests not listed below will be determined by Consultant Medical Microbiologists / Consultant Pathologists according to the actual cost of the test.
(6) Specimens for laboratory testing must be referred from registered medical / dental / veterinary practitioners.
