A new general out-patient clinic (GOPC) set up by the Department of Health (DH) in Kowloon Bay will commence operation next Wednesday (May 26) to provide primary health care service to the public.
The Kowloon Bay GOPC is located on the first floor of Kowloon Bay Health Centre at 9 Kai Yan Street, Kowloon Bay.
It will open from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm on weekdays, and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. No service will be provided on Sundays and public holidays.
Treatment at a government GOPC costs $37 per visit, which includes provision of medicine, X-ray examinations and laboratory tests.
"Local residents will benefit from better medical and health services with the opening of the new clinic," a spokesman for the Department said.
With the opening of this new clinic, there are altogether 64 GOPCs under the DH, he noted.
